The reefer coat, or jacket, was originally used by 'reefers' in the British Navy. They were the sailors who worked 'midships' (if you're a landlubber, that means in the middle of the deck) and whose job it was to 'reef' the sails. Which means that they furled or unfurled the sails to catch the maximum amount of wind.

Our Spin on this traditional jacket. We took 2 pieces of light-weight fleece - with the fleece sides sewn together for a wrong side "lived in" look. Cozy & the perfect weight for a toss on and go all year-round wear

Fit - Choose your typical size in a knit bottom. All models are wearing their typical knit shirt size in the images, however, some of the models that are larger sizes on bottom vs top, preferred to size to their bottom size (they are shown in their top size vs bottom size) ** if you are larger size on the bottom, choose that size overall for the jacket. The measurement labeled "waist 16" below from High Point Shoulder" we recommend using for size reference. 

If you are curvy - size up one

If you are h-shaped stick with your typical size 

If you never plan to button the jacket, stick with your typical knit shirt size.
